Usability

5.7 out of 10
  • Charging: 100 A maximum on the binding posts at 14.2 V; 50 A on the XT90
  • Fuse: a 300 A main fuse is pre-installed and a spare 200 A fuse ships in the box
  • Cold: discharge from 32 °F in the October 2025 manual, from -4 °F in the February 2026 edition
  • Marketed: 5,000+ total cycles on the store page
  • Heating: automatic only, below 32 °F once charging starts, per the manual
  • App: the manual says a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is required for the app
  • Comms: RJ45 port with RS485 and CAN pins; a third-party inverter link needs a custom cable
  • Searched: Intertek UL CEC LabTest TÜV SÜD Certipedia
  • Registration: the US registration page lists the WB12200 but limits its extra 12 months to power stations
  • List: $399.00 at pecron.com
  • Kit: WB12200 with the U20 cable kit $498.00 on the same page

Heated and inverter-ready, but only splash-proof

  • What it is: a 12 V, 200 Ah LiFePO4 battery with a heater, app control and RS485 and CAN, for RVs, cabins and backup banks
  • The trade-off: heated cells and inverter comms at a moderate weight, but a splash-only case and a 3-year base warranty
  • Not checked: a surge rating or a discharge figure labelled continuous; Pecron publishes neither
  • Look elsewhere for: an IP65 or better case, a published surge rating or a longer unconditional warranty

Strengths

  • Built-in heater for charging below freezing
  • App monitoring and control
  • Closed-loop inverter comms built in
  • Bolts to wallsfloors and other units
  • Spare positive post for a second fuse

Drawbacks

  • Splash rating onlynot waterproof
  • Longer warranty hinges on registration
  • Discharge current not labelled continuous
  • Manual editions disagree on cold discharge
  • No surge rating published

The Pecron WB12200 is a 12.8 V, 200 Ah LiFePO4 battery storing 2,560 Wh, with a built-in heater, app monitoring and an RJ45 port that carries RS485 and CAN. Pecron's manual rates its two binding posts at 10 to 14.4 V and 200 A maximum discharge and 14.2 V and 100 A maximum charge, and its XT90 port at 50 A each way.

A 300 A main fuse is pre-installed, and a spare positive post, disabled by default, takes a second fuse for a separate circuit. It charges from -4 to 113 °F, and the manual says the heater switches on automatically when the cells are below 32 °F and charging begins.

The October 2025 manual gives a discharge range of 32 to 113 °F, while the February 2026 edition gives -4 to 113 °F. It measures 21.1 x 8.3 x 8.3 in (536 x 210 x 212 mm), weighs around 48.5 lb (22 kg) and is rated IP54.

In the box are the battery, two handles, two connection bars, the 300 A fuse, a spare 200 A fuse, terminal and fuse covers, M8 and M4 screws, a socket wrench, a screwdriver and the manual. Pecron's product page gives a 3+2 year warranty.

It sells at $399.00 on pecron.com, and a WB12200 with the U20 cable kit is $498.00.
