One Cartridge, One Job, No Certification

The Manor is NuvoH2O's flagship and the SKU the brand is judged on, sold at Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart and Amazon as well as direct. Its case is space and maintenance: a 7-inch-wide tube on a wall, no brine tank, no drain, no power, and one light cartridge twice a year instead of bags of salt. Its weakness is the word softener, because CitraCharge chelates calcium and magnesium to stop them depositing rather than exchanging them out, so a hardness test after installation reads the same as before. NuvoH2O states the system complies with NSF/ANSI 42 but is not listed by any certifier, and publishes no reduction percentage and no service flow rate. Reddit threads on genuinely hard water are where this shows up, with owners reporting scale still forming on dishwashers. At 994.99 dollars the buyer is paying softener money for a scale inhibitor, and should decide which of those two things they actually need.

PROS
  • Smallest whole-house footprint in the category at 7.43 inches wide
  • No salt, no electricity, no wastewater and no drain connection
  • 50,000 gallon or six-month cartridge interval
  • Stocked at Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Amazon and plumbing suppliers, so cartridges are easy to source
  • 5-year limited warranty plus a 90-day money-back window
  • Manufacturer part number published as DPMB
CONS
  • Does not remove hardness; a post-install hardness test reads unchanged
  • No certifier listing, only a manufacturer statement of NSF/ANSI 42 compliance
  • No published service flow rate or pressure drop
  • Rated only to 25 grains per gallon, which rules out many hard-water regions
  • Owner reports of continued scale on very hard supplies
  • Recurring cartridge cost every six months

Single-stage salt-free conditioning system for homes over 1,500 sq. ft., carried by NuvoH2O as ID DPMB. One CitraCharge citric-acid cartridge treats the whole house for roughly six months or 50,000 gallons. The housing is 7.43 inches wide by 25.25 inches tall, weighs 16 lbs with cartridge and takes 1-inch ports at 45 to 65 psi.

The Manor carries the lowest retailer rating in the NuvoH2O range and it is this product's own population rather than a brand figure: 3.1 from 38 reviews at Home Depot against model DPMB. That is worth stating plainly, because the flagship rating is the one a brand aggregate most flatters. Amazon lists the Manor under ASIN B01ASXMI44 with a thousand-plus orders fulfilled in the past year and no Customer Reviews field at all, so the Amazon score falls to brand scope. The video pool is empty at every level.
