A Pocket Panel Rated at 3 Inches, Not 6

The MitoPRO Mobile is a palm-size battery panel with five wavelengths for one spot at a time, at $349 against a $399 compare-at price. Mito rates it at 3 inches rather than the 6 it uses for its panels: 100 mW/cm2 on a solar meter and 40 on a spectroradiometer. The one published measurement, by the BIOHACK Channel, which earns Mito affiliate commission, read 47.13 mW/cm2 at 3 inches on a thermopile, which is not a spectrometer, so output is not scored. It has no 510(k) and no finished-product safety listing; Mito's UL claim covers the battery, a component. Mito took it off sale and relaunched it in June 2026 without saying what changed, so the reviews and videos predate the unit now on sale. It carries a 2-year warranty and a plastic and aluminum housing named in its manual.

PROS
  • Five published peaks, including 810 nm
  • Built-in stand and hand strap
  • 2.5 to 3 hours per charge
  • Plastic and aluminum housing named in the manual
  • 2-year warranty and 60-day return with no restocking fee
CONS
  • No spectrometer test; the one reading is a thermopile's
  • Rated at 3 in, not the 6 in Mito uses for panels
  • No 510(k); UL claim covers the battery only
  • Barrel-jack charger, not USB-C
  • $399 compare-at price shown against $349

The MitoPRO Mobile is Mito's battery-powered handheld, 5.25 x 3.75 x 1.5 in and 1.5 lb, with 12 dual-chip lenses at 630, 660, 810, 830 and 850 nm and optional 10 Hz near-infrared pulsing. It has a built-in stand, a hand strap and a low-blue ambient light mode, runs 2.5 to 3 hours on its 3,000 mAh battery, and times sessions at 10 minutes. Mito states 100 mW/cm2 at 3 in on a solar meter and 40 on a spectroradiometer.

Brand-level

Mito Red Light, LLC of Scottsdale, Arizona sells direct from mitoredlight.com, and on Amazon only its 2.0 panels. Its Trustpilot profile reads 4.4 from 1,076 reviews, which Mito invites, split 76 percent five-star against 9 percent one-star, and it replies to 99 percent of negative reviews; the BBB rates it A and has accredited it since September 2021. No US retailer publishes its own reviews of a Mito device: Best Buy's marketplace listings, sold under Mito's trade name MRL Horizons LLC, carry ratings syndicated from mitoredlight.com, so the retailer pool is empty at every level. Mito's one recall, of the discontinued Mito Mobile Super for a battery fire risk, offers this model as the replacement unit.
