MegelinLED Red Light Therapy Face Mask

Reddit owners of Megelin's LED mask mostly report trouble with the unit and with returns. The poster of a November 2023 r/redlighttherapy thread (150 comments, replies to September 2026) found the mask uncomfortable, cheaply made and strong-smelling, and says Megelin asked for it to be returned to a private address in New Orleans before refunding most, not all, of the price. In the same thread, one owner reports two masks with a strong chemical smell and a 20 percent restocking fee quoted for the opened box (April 2024), two report masks that stopped working within two weeks and within three months (October and November 2024), one that the straps reeked of oil (January 2025), and one that the eye cups hurt and the mask pulls unless she lies down (June 2025). One owner reports eight months of use five days a week without a fault (January 2025). Commenters there point out that several positive replies come from accounts with no other history.

One written test covers the mask. Wareable's Emilija Kilimaitė (May 2026), whose review links the mask through Wareable's own affiliate redirect, used it for two months at $169. She found the Velcro straps easy to adjust and the silicone contoured to her face with no pressure points, though it felt sticky, shifted when she moved and sometimes ran hotter than she expected. Her box held no eye protection, so she used goggles from another device. She rates the battery above average at about 2 hours, or six 20-minute sessions, per charge, with a recharge of about 4 hours.

Four videos test the mask, each on a unit Megelin supplied or under a Megelin code. The Lipstick Gal (September 2024), on a free face-and-chest set with retailer affiliate links and no Megelin code, found the Velcro straps easier than her rigid mask's, but one strap's stitching came loose on first use and a row of LEDs stopped working, and Megelin offered a full replacement. Sheri of This is Real Life (February 2024, about 6,300 views), sent the set free and linking it under code Sheri10 and Amazon affiliate links, removed the eye cups because they hurt, found one button changes the colour on both pieces, and calls the nightly charging and assembly a chore. The Daily with Charlotte Z (December 2023, about 2,600 views), sponsored by Megelin with code Charlotte10, shows a 110-LED version with Velcro straps. Alegra Chetti (January 2026, about 24,000 views, code ALEGRAM10) found it light at about 260 g with no heat.

Megelin's own face-mask listing (ASIN B0CR3PBQ25, white, sharing one file with the black B0CQP2KNVS), sold by Megelin Official US and fulfilled by Amazon at $239.00 against $159 on megelin.com, holds 4.5 from 373 ratings: 82 percent five-star, 6 four, 4 three, 3 two and 5 one. The listing opened in December 2023, and Megelin's chart on it then gave the mask 110 LEDs; it now lists 288, so the file covers both builds. In late 2025 the same listing read 4.2 from 205, with 71 percent five-star and 10 percent one-star. Amazon's review tags count 70 mentions of ease of use (69 positive), 55 of comfort (51 positive), 96 of reliability (29 negative) and 23 of battery life (9 negative). Critical reviews describe a mask that stopped holding a charge inside a year and straps too loose for a small head.
