Usability
This is the top of Kind's range and the only configuration that pairs real iron and sulphur treatment with certified disinfection. Its strongest attribute is stage sequencing done correctly for a difficult well: air-injection oxidation strips iron, manganese and hydrogen sulphide first, an NSF/ANSI 42 carbon bed follows for chlorine, taste and odour, salt-free media handles scale adhesion, and only then does water reach the NSF/ANSI 55 certified UV chamber, which needs clarity to work. Buyers of cheaper UV bundles frequently get that order wrong and see lamp performance fall away. Hardware quality is also at its best here, with a 316L stainless chamber, quartz sleeve and a 50-watt lamp rated to 15 GPM at 95 percent UV transmittance. The weakest attribute is straightforwardly the price. At over six thousand two hundred dollars at list this is dealer-installed money for a DIY-installed system, and the salt-free stage still leaves hardness in the water, so a very hard well gets conditioning rather than softening. Certification outside carbon and UV remains materials-level NSF/ANSI 61 and 372. Assembled dimensions are not published and running costs include cartridges, an annual lamp and sleeve, backwash to drain and mains power. The trade is cost and true softening for the widest coverage Kind offers.
- Only Kind configuration combining iron and sulphur oxidation with an NSF/ANSI 55 certified UV stage
- Rated for 7 mg/L iron, 1 mg/L hydrogen sulphide and 1 mg/L manganese
- Correct stage order, with oxidation and carbon clarifying water before it reaches the UV lamp
- NSF/ANSI 42 certified backwashing carbon bed and 316L stainless UV chamber
- Smart View Meter reporting live flow rate and usage
- Lifetime limited warranty plus a 120-day satisfaction guarantee
- Over six thousand two hundred dollars at list, dealer money for a self-installed system
- Conditioning does not remove hardness, so a very hard well gets scale control rather than soft water
- Certification outside carbon and UV is NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 only, both materials listings
- Assembled dimensions and weight are not published for this configuration
- Needs mains power, indoor installation, backwash to drain and an annual UV lamp and sleeve
The WS-7000UV is Kind's flagship and most expensive system, adding a 50-watt UV chamber to the WS-7000's sediment, air-injection iron oxidation, backwashing carbon and salt-free conditioning stages. The UV module is 316L stainless steel with a quartz sleeve, certified to NSF/ANSI 55, and needs a 110V outlet plus annual lamp and sleeve replacement. Treatment tolerance is unchanged at 7 mg/L iron, 1 mg/L hydrogen sulphide and 1 mg/L manganese, at 12 GPM on 1 in MNPT.
