AquasanaRhino Well Water with UV, Conditioner, Bypass and Pre-Filter

The well platform is discussed in three threads and the strongest statement in any of them is a flat one from r/WaterTreatment that Aquasana equipment is not very good on well water. r/HomeImprovement carries an owner who reports the system does a good job while noting the water is still a little hard, and the same thread carries a prospective buyer talking himself out of it on the strength of published reviews. A separate caution there is that the carbon tank will do little for arsenic because the medium loads and needs constant replacement. This is a thin pool with no positive counterweight of its own, and it is scored on that rather than on the brand's much larger city-water pool.

No independent publication has bench-tested an Aquasana well system. The only line-specific written analysis is by a competing installer and is excluded as a competitor's review of the brand, which leaves the well platform with no scoreable coverage of its own. What exists at the platform above it is a lab test of the base city Rhino returning 100 percent reduction of chlorine and of all three detected disinfection byproducts, and an audit separating Aquasana's genuine certifications from its in-house data. Neither covers the UV stage, the iron question or the well build.

No independent video tests an Aquasana well system. The filmed coverage is two owner maintenance videos on filter and UV lamp changes, a water-treatment contractor's channel that solicits installs and is therefore not independent, and affiliate round-ups. A licensed plumber's install video of a Rhino with UV is the nearest independent signal and it ends on a recommendation against the range, on a site the plumber describes as having a great deal of iron in the water. The absence of a tested review on a platform sold for untreated water is the finding.

One review file of 4.2 out of 5 from 685 ratings prints on seven Aquasana whole-house listings at once - WH-1000, EQ-1000 at $1,123, EQ-1000-AST, WH-1010-CT-UV-LM, WH-1000-CS-UVS-B at $2,696, WH-WELL-CT-UVS and EQ-WELL-UV-PRO-AST at $2,697 - so a 500,000-gallon well system and a 1,000,000-gallon city system share one pool across a two-and-a-half-fold price range. Three of those listings also carry an identical Best Sellers Rank, which is the second signature of one merged parent. The replacement tank EQ-1000R holds its own separate file at 4.2 from 46, as does the pre-filter pack at 4.7 from 1,375, so the 685 is not a cartridge merge - it is a system merge across configurations.

Home Depot lists four well builds and the two above the ten-review floor read 4.4 out of 5 from 43 and 4.4 from 20, materially better than the 3.5 from 6 on the base well configuration, which is below the floor and is named rather than scored. The retailer's Aquasana file is mixed, so these are recorded at scope and scored down. Walmart's well listing reads 4.6 from 340 and shares that average, count and five-bar distribution with three city listings, with review bodies on it describing a city Rhino 1000, so it is one manufacturer file mapped onto four SKUs rather than a well pool. The single most repeated point in the Home Depot well reviews is that the system does not reduce iron, which matches Aquasana's own guidance to call about iron separately.
