iSpring RO1200 4-Stage Dual-Flow Tankless Reverse Osmosis System, 1200 GPD
Four-stage tankless RO system rated at 1,200 GPD with a dual-flow faucet, live TDS readout and a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio.
$700
Usability
On paper the RO1200 is the strongest system iSpring makes: 1,200 GPD, 0.83 GPM and a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio, all better than the RO800G, for $172 more. The dual-flow faucet is the genuinely clever part, routing everyday rinsing through carbon instead of burning membrane life on washing lettuce. The gap in the story is certification, since nothing in this line carries an NSF/ANSI listing.
- 3:1 pure-to-drain, the most efficient ratio iSpring publishes on any system
- 1,200 GPD at 0.83 GPM fills an 8 oz cup in about five seconds
- Dual-flow faucet routes rinsing water through carbon, extending membrane life
- Live inlet and outlet TDS readout on the faucet in RO mode
- Auto-flush and filter-life alerts handle maintenance automatically
- Out-performs the RO800G on output and efficiency for $172 more
- Only two cartridges to reorder, FPC1200 and MRO1200
- No published NSF/ANSI certification listing
- Requires an under-sink electrical outlet
- No remineralization stage; the RO1200AK adds one for $51
- Dual-flow faucet needs a single larger counter hole than a standard RO faucet
- Municipal water only; well water needs pre-treatment
- Warranty is 1 year and requires product registration
The iSpring RO1200 is a four-stage tankless reverse osmosis system rated at 1,200 gallons per day, and the only system in iSpring's range with a dual-flow faucet. The left handle dispenses carbon-filtered water for rinsing produce and filling pots; the right handle dispenses full reverse osmosis water for drinking and coffee. Sending everyday rinsing through the carbon side rather than the membrane meaningfully extends membrane life.
Output is 0.83 GPM, filling an 8 oz cup in about five seconds, at a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio, the best efficiency iSpring publishes on any system. The stages are PP sediment, activated carbon, a 0.0001-micron membrane and a taste-polishing carbon filter.
The faucet displays live inlet and outlet TDS in RO mode, so filtration performance is visible rather than assumed. Auto-flush protects the membrane and filter-life alerts handle maintenance timing. Replacement cartridges are FPC1200 at 12 months and MRO1200 at 24 months. iSpring publishes no NSF/ANSI listing for the RO1200.
