The 15 GPM FS1000 is the same system as the 12 GPM model with a larger tank and a larger carbon bed, and the 341 dollar premium buys headroom rather than better filtration. That headroom matters more than it sounds: an undersized carbon tank on a four-bathroom house shortens contact time when several fixtures run at once, which is exactly when chlorine breakthrough shows up.
