Chloramine is the one municipal problem that justifies paying extra for a specific media, and this is the cheapest NuvoH2O system that offers it, at 49 dollars over the taste filter build. A household on a chloraminated supply with sensitive skin or a fish tank has a real reason to choose it. What NuvoH2O does not provide is the media type, the empty bed contact time or a reduction percentage, and chloramine reduction is entirely dependent on contact time, so the claim cannot be checked.
