This product sits awkwardly in FilterSmart's catalogue and the scoring reflects that. Everything else the company sells is a point-of-entry tank system with a detailed page behind it; the RO is a point-of-use unit whose product page carries a price, a faucet finish selector and nothing else. There is no specification sheet, no stated membrane rejection rate, no tank capacity, no dimensions, no replacement filter schedule and no certification listing. Reverse osmosis as a technology does what buyers want at this price point - it is the only method here that addresses dissolved solids, lead, nitrate, fluoride and PFAS - but none of that is a claim FilterSmart makes about this system, and it is not one this review will make on its behalf. The 50 GPD rating is at the low end for current under-sink RO, where 400 to 600 GPD tankless units are now common at similar money, and 50 GPD implies a pressure tank and the slow refill that goes with it. The faucet finish options are cosmetic and priced 20 dollars above the standard finish. Buy it only if you already trust the brand from a whole-house purchase; on published evidence alone there is nothing here to compare against a certified competitor.
- Cheapest entry into the range at 479 dollars
- Reverse osmosis is the only technology FilterSmart sells that addresses dissolved solids
- Four stages and a dedicated faucet included
- Faucet available in chrome, bronze and brushed nickel for 20 dollars more
- In stock and shipped direct from the manufacturer
- No specification sheet of any kind - no membrane rejection rate, no dimensions, no tank capacity, no filter schedule
- No certification; no NSF/ANSI 58 listing and no performance data claim from FilterSmart
- The product page carries no description at all, only a price and a faucet selector
- 50 GPD is low against current under-sink RO, where 400 to 600 GPD tankless units sell in the same price band
- FilterSmart's lifetime tank and valve warranty covers its whole-house systems and no equivalent warranty is stated for this one
- No review pool anywhere - no Amazon listing, no retailer page, no independent coverage
This is FilterSmart's only point-of-use product, a four-stage under-sink reverse osmosis system rated at 50 gallons per day and supplied with a dedicated faucet in a choice of finishes. It is the cheapest thing in the range at 479 dollars. FilterSmart publishes no specification sheet, no membrane rejection rate, no dimensions and no certification for it, and the product page carries no description at all.
