Usability

7.1 out of 10

It stores 1,024 Wh, the typical size for a compact station, so it scores 5 on capacity; StorageReview drew 910 Wh of it, 89 percent of rated.

Its inverter is rated 1,800 W continuous and 3,600 W surge, so it scores 8 on power output; TheSolarLab measured about 2,600 W of real surge.

A full wall charge takes 56 minutes and two inputs take 1,000 W of solar, so it scores 10 on recharging.

EcoFlow rates the cells for 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity, so it scores 8 on battery life.

It switches to battery in under 10 ms and takes EcoFlow's extra batteries up to 5 kWh, though no transfer switch is sold for it, so it scores 7 on backup readiness.

SGS lists it to UL 2743 by model, so it scores 6 on verification.

EcoFlow's policy gives it 5 years, so it scores 8 on warranty and support.

Warranty and returns

Doubles the solar input, not the capacity

The DELTA 3 Plus is EcoFlow's 1 kWh LiFePO4 station with two solar inputs, a 27.6 lb box with six 120 V outlets.

It suits a buyer charging mostly from solar who wants 1 kWh now and more later, and who should weigh TheSolarLab's finding that its fans lag under heavy load.
