Usability
The Hand Mask takes both hands at once, which puts it ahead of one-mitt designs on time, and it runs 70 LEDs at 633 and 830 nm for a fixed 10 minutes. It is corded, on a 5 W mains supply, so there is no battery to wear out and no moving around during a session. CurrentBody's page calls it FDA cleared, but FDA lists it only under ILY, a 510(k)-exempt infrared-lamp code, with no premarket number, so it scores at the floor on verification. The US page states its output as 0.0194 W/in2, about 3 mW/cm2, while CurrentBody's UK page states 30 mW/cm2 per wavelength; nobody has measured it. Coverage is sparse: two Reddit owners split, one pleased at two weeks and one who saw nothing, and its Amazon listing has only 9 ratings. It carries a two-year warranty and costs $249.99, the same as the Eye Mask.
