This is the most configurable thing in the Crystal Quest countertop range and the one that makes the brand argument best: one 3.5 by 10.5 inch body, nine cartridge chemistries, and a capacity ladder that runs 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 gallons for twenty dollars a step. Anyone who has had a water test back can buy the cartridge that matches the result instead of buying a generic carbon filter and hoping, and the fluoride, nitrate and arsenic options can each be ordered with the SMART blend layered in for municipal supplies. The 30,000 gallon SMART Ultimate at 144 dollars is the standout on cost per gallon anywhere in the catalogue. What the buyer gives up is verification: none of the nine configurations is listed by any certifier, and Crystal Quest publishes no reduction percentage for the fluoride, nitrate or arsenic cartridges that justify the choice. Flow is 0.3 to 0.5 GPM throughout.
