HealthShield is for a household that has tested its water, found PFAS or VOCs, and wants that dealt with at the main line rather than at one tap. Its strongest attribute is that it is the only Aquasana whole-house system carrying third-party certified contaminant claims rather than in-house test reports, and NSF/ANSI 53 coverage including five named PFAS compounds is genuinely rare at point of entry. Its weakest is everything the Rhino line is good at: capacity drops from 1,000,000 gallons to 165,000, the warranty from ten years to two, and rated flow to 5.7 GPM, so roughly every two years you buy another tank. The certified row also carries a pretreatment condition, that influent aluminium must be reduced before treatment, and the 97.4 percent chlorine and 97.49 percent chloramine figures are Aquasana's own by its own statement. Launched in August 2026, it has no independent review, no laboratory test, no marketplace listing and no retailer listing, so there is nothing outside the manufacturer to check it against. The trade is the best paperwork in the range against the shortest life, the shortest warranty and no third-party scrutiny at all.
- WQA tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 53 and 401 and CSA B483.1, the only certified contaminant claim in Aquasana's whole-house range
- Certified reduction of 99.9% of PFAS to below 4 parts per trillion and 99.8% of VOCs
- Touchscreen flow meter shows live flow rate and remaining gallons
- Tank replacement designed to be done without a plumber
- Rated for both city and well supplies as delivered
- 165,000 gallons or about 2 years, against 1,000,000 gallons or 10 for a Rhino
- 2-year limited warranty, the shortest in the whole house range
- The 97.4% chlorine and 97.49% chloramine figures are internally tested, not part of the certified set
- The certified listing requires influent aluminium to be reduced before treatment
- 5.7 GPM rated flow is the lowest of any Aquasana whole house system
- No independent review, no laboratory test and no retailer listing exists for this system
HealthShield is Aquasana's newest whole house platform and the only one in the range with certified reduction claims beyond chlorine. It is WQA tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 53 and 401 and CSA B483.1, covering up to 99.9% of PFOA, PFOS, PFNA, PFHxS and PFHpA to below 4 parts per trillion, 99.8% of VOCs and 94.7% of BPA and ibuprofen. The system reduces 61 contaminants in total, and the chlorine and chloramine figures Aquasana publishes for it, 97.4% and 97.49%, are internally tested rather than part of the certified set.
The tradeoff is capacity. Where a Rhino tank runs 1,000,000 gallons or ten years, HealthShield is rated for 165,000 gallons or roughly two years. A touchscreen flow meter tracks remaining capacity and signals when service is due, and Aquasana designs the tank change to be done without a plumber.
Rated flow is 5.7 GPM with an 11.2 GPM peak, the lowest rated flow in the whole house range. The warranty is 2 years rather than the Rhino line's 10.
