Usability
The RO-PERM is the answer to the single most common complaint about tank reverse osmosis, which is that a house at 40 psi fills its tank slowly and wastes a great deal of water doing it. Its strongest attribute is the permeate pump, which runs on drain-line energy rather than electricity and needs no outlet under the sink. Its weakest is certification: this model carries no WQA listing at all, and APEC's own product gallery uses its uncertified badge graphic rather than the WQA one. That is an unusual position for the most expensive system in the Ultimate line. Buyers with low pressure are trading a verified listing for a genuine engineering fix, and buyers with normal pressure are paying 105 dollars over the RO-90 for a problem they do not have.

The APEC Water Systems RO-PERM is an under-sink reverse osmosis system fitted with a non-electric permeate pump, which uses drain-line energy to push product water into the tank and reduce both waste and the pressure loss that slows tank filling. It is aimed at homes with low incoming line pressure. Unlike the RO-90 and RO-Hi, this model carries no WQA listing and APEC's own product imagery marks it as uncertified.
