Waterdrop is a water filtration brand best known for tankless reverse osmosis, a category it effectively created for the US market when the original G3 launched on Amazon and won a Red Dot award. The company sells direct and through Amazon, Home Depot and Walmart.

The catalogue is the largest in this category by a wide margin, running to more than 800 SKUs. It spans tankless under-sink RO, countertop RO needing no plumbing, gravity systems, faucet and under-sink carbon filters, whole-house and well-water systems, a water softener, and refrigerator replacement cartridges for most major appliance brands.

The tankless design is the brand’s real differentiator. Removing the storage tank frees roughly 70 percent of the under-sink cabinet and eliminates the stagnant reservoir of a conventional system, and the flagship G3P800 produces 800 gallons per day at a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio, which independent lab testing by Water Filter Guru measured slightly above the claimed figure.

Certification is where buyers need to read carefully. Coverage varies sharply across the line rather than applying brand-wide. The G3P800 is certified by IAPMO to NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58 and 372, and the K19 countertop pair to 42, 58 and 372. But the K6, G2 and G2P600 carry NSF/ANSI 372 alone, which certifies the materials as lead-free and makes no claim about what the system removes from water, and several whole-house units carry no published mark at all. Waterdrop’s own product pages and its Amazon listings sometimes disagree on which standards apply to the same model.

Recurring owner criticism centres on automatic flush cycles running every few hours on the G3 series, output TDS not dropping as far as buyers expect, and the absence of a remineralization stage on most models, which leaves the water tasting flat. Warranty is one year across almost the entire range.
