At $29.99 the FC-01 is the cheapest certified filter Waterdrop sells, and the certification is the reason to take it seriously: NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine, taste and odour, plus 372 for lead-free materials. That is a genuine performance mark, which several systems ten times the price in this range do not carry. Activated carbon fibre at 0.5 micron does the work, and the cartridge lasts 320 gallons or three months. Check your faucet first, because it will not fit pull-out, spray-style or sensor taps, and Waterdrop lists precise thread dimensions it cannot accommodate.
