The RO5004F-AK is the most feature-dense system iSpring sells at this price: anti-scale, UV, remineralization, leak-stop valve and a filter-life monitor for ninety dollars over the plain RO5004F. The top-mounted faucet fastener alone will save you a contorted half hour under the sink. The consistent catch across this family is certification, since no NSF/ANSI listing covers it.

The iSpring RO5004F-AK is the six-stage RO5004F with the taste-polishing carbon stage swapped for an FG500AK mineral remineralization filter. Water passes through a PP sediment filter, an anti-scale stage, a carbon block, a 0.0001-micron RO membrane, the alkaline mineral stage, and a built-in UV lamp rated to 8,000 working hours.
It is tankless and pump-driven at 500 gallons per day with a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio, filling a cup in about ten seconds. The build carries over the RO5004F's leak-stop valve, filter-life monitor and sound-damped casing. A top-mounted faucet fastener lets the faucet be installed entirely from above the counter, which is a real time saver on deep cabinets.
Replacement cartridges are FP500, FC500SL, MRO5004F and FG500AK. iSpring does not carry NSF/ANSI certification on this model, so its contaminant figures are manufacturer and third-party lab claims.
