What they say
Mito Red LightMitoQUAD
About six MitoQUAD owners posted in r/redlighttherapy between January 2024 and December 2025, all positive or mildly positive.
One called it well made with strong Velcro that stays put, another found the output gentle and better for one area or travel than for the whole body, and later owners called it good and fantastic for targeting spots.
No failure report for this model turned up; the complaints were that it was constantly sold out and priced high.
The most frequent recommender, who praises its backing and chips, is a self-disclosed Mito affiliate with a discount code and is not counted as an owner.
HoogaRed Light Belt
One Reddit owner report is about the current belt.
In January 2026 an r/redlighttherapy user who had just bought it said the separate cables and the battery pack had seemed convenient but quickly became annoying to manage.
In an August 2025 thread about the same belt, an owner of Hooga's older 120-LED plug-in wrap (bought for $89 in 2024) could see no change except a controller with an LCD screen, and called the new price a steep rise for the same specs.
The other Hooga belt threads concern earlier versions.
A January 2025 owner of the roughly $100 older battery belt kept it and called it good value.
The older-wrap owner said in January 2026 that its highest steady setting was too hot to bear and that pulse mode cut the heat.

Hands-on write-ups come from Mountain Weekly News (May 2026, affiliate links), Wareable (September 2026, affiliate commission), Revgear (February 2026) and Athlon Sports (August 2026, free unit from Mito plus affiliate links), and none of them measured light output.
They agree it is easy to wear on the lower back, knees and thighs with five intensity levels on a wired remote, and share the complaint that it must be plugged in because the power bank is unavailable.
Garage Gym Reviews, also affiliate, notes that it can get warm.
HoogaRed Light Belt
Two written pieces cover the current belt.
Neither includes a measurement, and their scores disagree.
Cybernews earns commission and gives a Hooga discount code (HOOGATIME), next to affiliate links for Novaa, Mito, LifePro and Megelin.
Its July 2026 update ranks the belt the best belt overall at 4.7 out of 5, citing the included 15,000 mAh battery pack, the LED count and the adjustable brightness; its only con is the one-year warranty.
Marco Gentile's links give an automatic 12 percent Hooga discount and earn him commission.
In his June 2026 update he rates the belt 3.1 out of 5.
He praises the bundled power bank, the pulse mode and the brightness control, but scores the one-year warranty 1.5 and notes that no carry bag is included.
Both repeat Hooga's 70 mW/cm2 figure without testing it.

What they say
Mito Red LightMitoQUAD
No independent test or long-form review of the MitoQUAD exists on YouTube; the one video naming it is a 30-second Short with a Mito affiliate link and no findings.
Light Therapy Insiders (November 2022, 28,310 views, affiliate code) tested Mito's earlier two-wavelength Advanced belt, measuring 2.5 mW/cm2 at 6 inches and roughly 10 to 44 at contact with peaks at 655 and 855 nm, and found the LEDs warm after 20 minutes.
HoogaRed Light Belt
The one independent video covers the belt's predecessor, Hooga's 120-LED, 17 by 8 inch plug-in wrap.
Alex Fergus (June 2025, about 7,700 views) received the wrap free.
His links to the new belt and the wrap carry a 12 percent Hooga discount, he also gives code ALEX, and he has Lumaflex and Mito codes in the same description.
On a spectrometer he read about 3 mW/cm2 at 6 inches.
Pressed onto a single LED he read at most 136, against the 219 in Hooga's manual, and almost nothing between LEDs.
He confirmed peaks at 656 and 850 nm.
He liked the price, light weight and USB power.
He disliked the missing battery, the short cable and the separate strap, and said Hooga's HG24 bulb was the better buy.

What they say
Mito Red LightMitoQUAD
Mito's Amazon US store sells its two-wavelength 2.0 panels and no listing of this device carries ratings.
The MitoMIN 2.0 holds 4.5 from 170 ratings, split 78 percent five-star against 3 percent one-star, and Amazon tags its quality in 30 reviews, 29 of them positive; the MitoMID 2.0 holds 4.6 from 61.
Those are rigid panels, so they say nothing about how this device holds up.
HoogaRed Light Belt
The Amazon US listing is sold by Hooga Health, and its reviews belong to this belt.
The earliest US review (July 2025, a Vine review of a free unit) already describes the battery pack and the zippered LED strip.
The listing reads 3.8 from 45 ratings, and the split runs both ways: 65 percent four or five stars against 22 percent one or two.
Reviewers praise the simple controls and the sturdy build.
Amazon's value-for-money tag has 3 negative mentions against 2 positive.
The critical reviews report a unit that arrived in an opened box whose remote powered on but whose belt would not light (returned, May 2026).
Another reports a display damaged after a little over a month (March 2026), and a third a battery pack that lasts about three charges and charges only over USB-C.
