    What they say

    Hooga Facial Wand

    • Reddit's Hooga threads are mostly about support, and most posters report it well.
    • In a December 2025 r/redlighttherapy thread with about 100 upvotes, a buyer whose new stand did not fit his ULTRA750 was sent a new panel and a free return label nearly a year after purchase, and eight commenters added similar stories, including a replaced mask and a panel with loose screws.
    • A February 2026 poster had a two-year-old HG300 bought on Amazon replaced under warranty.
    • Against that, one buyer said Hooga shipped through Amazon Logistics and then refused to help, in a condescending tone, after the driver damaged his property.
    • Two posters said emails about changing an order or a pre-sale question went unanswered, several dislike the AI agent that answers first, and two reported a remote or controller failing.
    • Some commenters suspect the praise is planted; none showed evidence of it.

    Solawave Bye Acne

    • Reddit barely covers the Bye Acne.
    • In a September 2025 r/Ulta thread one owner calls it good for the occasional pimple, using it when she feels one coming, but slow at three minutes per spot and too small to use all over.
    • In a September 2022 r/Skincare_Addiction thread an owner with sensitive, acne-prone skin says it works if used consistently, with her spots calming after two to five sessions.
    • A January 2024 r/30PlusSkinCare thread on sanitizing it is not counted because Solawave's own account posts in it.

    What they say

    Hooga Facial Wand

    • Two written sources cover the 2026 wand, and only one of them tested it.
    • Wareable earns affiliate commission through its Hooga link.
    • Its testers named the wand "best for a tighter budget" in its wand roundup (first published April 2026, updated September 15, 2026).
    • They found that the microcurrent, warmth and vibration make a feature set usually seen on wands two to three times the price.
    • On the other side, they found the head turns only 90 degrees against the Solawave's 180, which makes the wand harder to move along the face.
    • They also found it bulkier and less premium than the Solawave or Bon Charge, with a more basic vibration.
    • Light Therapy Insiders' September 2026 news roundup carries a 12 percent Hooga discount link.
    • It covered the wand's return without testing it, said wands in general have small treatment areas and low power, and said the Hooga stands out because it costs much less than rival wands.

    Solawave Bye Acne

    • Harper's Bazaar (June 2022), which earns commission, rated it 4.0 out of 5 after two weeks of testing, praising the three-minute sessions and a size that targets single spots, while noting it has to be held in place and used only once a day on each spot.
    • Mashable (May 2023), testing a unit Solawave sent, saw her skin stay about the same over two weeks, found one 30-minute charge lasted the whole test, and thought its launch price of $99 steep for a device too small to treat more than a spot or two; it now lists at $69.

    What they say

    Hooga Facial Wand

    • The one independent video on a Hooga wand covers the earlier red-and-blue model: Alex Fergus's review on Light Therapy Insiders (July 2024, 15:57, about 8,900 views).
    • Hooga sent him the unit free, and his description carries a Hooga discount link alongside links and codes for Solawave, Mito, Omnilux and PlatinumLED.
    • He measured 22 to 35 mW/cm2 of red light with the meter against the LEDs and about 3.2 mW/cm2 of blue, with the red peaking at 659 nm and the blue at about 422 nm.
    • He rated the red output two to three times the Solawave's.
    • He liked the USB-C charging, the small size and the $49 price.
    • He faulted the basic packaging, the fact that red and blue cannot run together, and the time needed to cover a whole face.

    Solawave Bye Acne

    • The one video on the Bye Acne, Doctor Sarah's (March 2023, 8,888 views, affiliate links, not sponsored), walks through Solawave's claims and published research on light therapy rather than a long-term test of the device.
    • Solawave's other independent YouTube coverage is about its 4-in-1 wand, where Britt Witkin's 90-day review on a brand-sent unit found the skin felt smoother but saw little change in fine lines.

    • The earlier Hooga wand's listing (B0BPJVVVRC, now unavailable) reads 3.9 from 111 ratings, and the ratings split: 58 percent five-star against 16 percent one-star.
    • Amazon's summary tags reliability in 27 reviews, 13 positive and 14 negative, and charging in 7, 5 of them negative.

    • Quality is tagged in 23 reviews, 19 of them positive.

    Solawave Bye Acne
