A $70 Face Wand That Adds Microcurrent and Warmth

Hooga's LED Facial Therapy Wand is a 5.9 in, 35 g wand in an aluminium alloy and polycarbonate body with a 90-degree rotating head, red, blue and purple light modes, gentle heat, microcurrent and vibration, a 10-minute timer and a 350 mAh battery, at $70. Hooga gives the red as 630 nm in one place and 660 in another, publishes no output figure, and the wand has no near-infrared channel; no reading of the 2026 model has been published, so output is not scored. It carries no 510(k) and no safety listing. Wareable, which earns commission on it, called it the budget pick for its features and faulted the 90-degree head against the Solawave's 180 and a basic vibration. Its Amazon listing has no ratings yet; the earlier Hooga wand read 3.9 from 111, with charging failures among the complaints. The warranty is 1 year.

PROS
  • Light, heat, microcurrent and vibration for $70
  • Aluminium alloy body
  • Three light modes with a 10-minute timer
  • Charging base, per the description
  • Price well under rival wands, per two reviewers
CONS

  • Head turns 90 degrees against a rival's 180, per one reviewer
  • 1-year warranty
  • Earlier model's Amazon file cites charging failures
  • Red given as 630 and as 660 nm

The Hooga LED Facial Therapy Wand, sold as new for 2026, is a 5.9 x 0.59 x 0.47 in wand weighing 35 g, in an aluminium alloy and polycarbonate body with a head that rotates 90 degrees. It combines red light (630 nm in the description, 620 to 630 in the specifications and 660 in one feature list), blue light at 460 nm and purple at 415 nm with gentle heat, microcurrent and vibration, under a 10-minute timer. It has no near-infrared channel, and Hooga publishes no output figure. A 350 mAh battery charges in about 100 minutes on a charging base and runs about an hour. The $70 price includes a USB-C cable, and the description adds a charging base.

Brand-level

Hooga is the trading name of Commerce Trading Group, LLC of New Berlin, Wisconsin, which sells direct from hoogahealth.com and through its own Amazon store; no major US retailer carries a Hooga device, so the retailer pool is empty at every level. Its Trustpilot profile reads 4.5 from 75 reviews, 80 percent five-star against 12 percent one-star. Hooga claimed the profile in January 2026 and has invited reviews since: seven of the 14 reviews written before the claim are one-star, against two of the 58 written since, and Hooga has answered every negative review. The recurring complaints there are return shipping charged to the buyer even on faulty units, pre-orders charged weeks before shipping, and support that answers first with an AI agent. The BBB rates Hooga B+ without accreditation, on a file opened in April 2026 with one complaint, resolved, and no Hooga device has been recalled.
