  • Heater: runs below 32°F on charging input, stops above 41°F

Heated charging, but only 1C output

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery with a charge-powered heater, Bluetooth and a 100 A BMS
  • The trade-off: cold charging and app monitoring, but only 1C continuous and a case longer than Group 24
  • Heater: it warms the cells only while a charger supplies more than 10 A, never from stored energy
  • Look elsewhere for: more than 100 A from one battery or a CAN or RS485 link

Strengths

  • Built-in heater for cold charging
  • Bluetooth app monitoring
  • IP65 case
  • Expands to a 4S4P bank

Drawbacks

  • Heater needs a charge source above 10 A
  • Continuous current only matches its capacity
  • Larger case than a Group 24
  • No CAN or RS485 port
  • Cycle rating with no depth or end point published
  • Two more warranty years need a posted reviewexchanges depreciated

  • Overall: a handful of Reddit threads, mostly reporting Vatrer batteries working as described
  • Cabin: an r/solar owner running two 12V 100Ah units for ten months reported balanced cells and no capacity loss he could detect (about March 2026)
  • Caveats: the same owner found the app dated, with disconnects at range, and the documentation in the box sparse (about March 2026)
  • Outdoor use: in an r/SolarDIY thread on the wall battery, a reply said it is an indoor battery despite its IP65 rating, and another pointed to Will Prowse's mostly positive tests (July 2025)
  • Track record: an r/SolarDIY reply called Vatrer generally good batteries but said the record depends on the model (September 2026)

  • Vatrer Power is the brand of Shenzhen Vatrer Power Source Technology Co., Ltd., a company based in Shenzhen, China, that its own blog says was founded in 2021.
  • The VATRER trademark is registered at the USPTO to Guangdong Zhongju Power Technology Co., Ltd. of Huizhou, and no US company is named behind the brand.
  • It sells with a cart at vatrerpower.com, which also runs Canadian, European, Japanese and Australian stores.
  • In the US it also sells on Amazon through the VATRER POWER brand store and on Walmart.com as the marketplace seller VATRER POWER.

The Vatrer 12V 100Ah Heated (store SKU D-12V-100AH-Black-H, spec label "LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V 100Ah") is a 12.8 V, 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery with a built-in heater, storing 1,280 Wh.

Its manual and product page rate the BMS at 100 A continuous charge and discharge, with a 1,280 W maximum load and 20 A (0.2C) recommended charging at 14.2 to 14.6 V. Below 32°F, charging input runs the heating film instead of charging the cells, and above 41°F heating stops and charging begins.

Vatrer's Amazon listing says the heater runs only with more than 10 A of charge current. It charges from -4 to 122°F, discharges from -4 to 140°F and has an IP65 case with M8 terminals. The manual gives 332 x 175 x 219 mm (13.07 x 6.89 x 8.62 in) and 24.2 lb (11 kg); the product page gives 329 x 172 x 214 mm.

Bluetooth links it to the Vatrer app. It connects four in series; the page allows up to ten in parallel and the manual no more than four, with 4P4S (20.48 kWh) the largest bank given. Vatrer's Amazon listing says it cannot be wired in series or parallel with the unheated 12V 100Ah.
