Usability
Twenty-five dollars more than the aeration Oxi-Gen and a materially more capable machine, which makes the choice between them a question of water chemistry rather than budget. Peroxide oxidises faster and more completely than injected air, so it handles higher iron and, importantly, dissolved sulfide that aeration only partly addresses. Proportional injection is the detail that matters: dosing to actual flow avoids both the underdosing that lets odour through at high demand and the overdosing that wastes chemical at low flow. The ceramic rotary disc valve is a sensible choice for water carrying precipitate. Against that, peroxide is a consumable you will keep buying and the injection pump is a wear item. If a water test shows iron comfortably under 8 ppm and the sulfide is largely particulate, the Oxi-Gen costs less to run and is the better buy.
