The Plunge Sauna in its XL size is a seven-person indoor or outdoor cedar sauna, four on the top bench and three below, with a HUUM Drop 9 stone heater and a HUUM UKU Wi-Fi controller. Plunge's comparison table gives the heater as 8.5 kW while its replacement coil set and help centre say 9 kW.
Plunge rates it to 230°F and gives an interior of 71.5 to 87.5 inches high, 78.75 wide and 43.6 to 62 deep, about 191 cubic feet, and an exterior of 95 by 92 by 71 inches. It needs a 240 V 50 A NEMA 14-50 outlet installed by an electrician, and the cord ($114.00) is sold separately.
The walls are 3/4-inch insulated with a vapour barrier, and a waterproof roof, stones, a phone mount and flip-up benches with a slanted backrest come with it. A heater safety rail ($427.90) and assembly service ($880.00) are extra.
