The Sun Home Luminar 5 is a five-person outdoor full spectrum infrared cabin with an aluminium exterior over a Canadian red cedar interior, ten full spectrum heaters and five far infrared heaters under the bench, at the calves and on the floor.
Sun Home rates it from 0 to 170°F and lists 7,200 W at 240 V on a dedicated 30 A circuit with a GFCI breaker and a NEMA L6-30 plug, installed by a certified electrician or the warranty is void. It weighs 1,070 lb and needs a level load-bearing base with drainage.
Thick double-pane black-tinted glass and a fitted all-weather cover come with it. An app, chromotherapy and Bluetooth audio are built in. Sun Home prints under 0.5 mG for the model.
Sun Home commissioned and paid for an EMF survey by Vitatech Electromagnetics (report VTE-3534, January 2025); the published summary names no model and gives 0.6 to 4.0 mG at 1 ft and 0.3 to 0.9 mG at 3 ft, the seated distance it states. A red light add-on sells for $1,699.00.
