Usability

6.7 out of 10

It stores 3,072 Wh, in the upper half of the large tier, so it scores 7 on capacity.

TheSolarLab drew 86 percent of it at about 2,968 W. Its inverter is rated 3,600 W continuous at 120 V only, so it scores 10 on power output, though TheSolarLab found it barely handled loads above 3,600 W against a 7,000 W surge rating.

OUPES states a full wall charge in 1.8 hours at 1,800 W and solar input tops out at 2,100 W, so it scores 8 on recharging; TheSolarLab measured just over two hours.

OUPES rates the cells for 3,500 cycles to 80 percent capacity, so it scores 6 on battery life.

It switches to battery in under 20 ms for loads up to 2,200 W and takes six B2 batteries to a rated 15.36 kWh, but OUPES sells no transfer switch for it, so it scores 6 on backup readiness.

OUPES publishes no safety certificate for it and no certifier directory lists it by model, so it scores 2 on verification.

Better on verificationEcoFlow DELTA ProSGS lists it to UL 2743. $1,899Scores 8.0

OUPES gives it 5 years and adds a sixth free when it is registered, so it scores 8 on warranty and support.

3,600 W holds, the 7,000 W surge did not

Verdict

It suits a buyer who wants 3 kWh and a full 3,600 W at 120 V, with room to add batteries and solar later, and who has no 240 V load such as a well pump.

  • Expands to a rated 15.36 kWh with six B2 batteries
  • Each B2 battery takes its own 2,100 W of solar

Drawbacks

  • 120 V onlyand two units cannot be paired
  • UPS mode covers loads up to 2,200 W only
  • Barely handled loads above 3,600 W in TheSolarLab's test despite a 7,000 W surge rating
