This is the cheapest way to test whether CitraCharge does anything on your water, because a dishwasher shows scale faster and more visibly than anything else in the house. It installs on the hot supply in minutes with 3/8 inch fittings and needs no plumber, which is the whole point of the format. The 500 gallon cartridge is the limitation and it is a real one, since a household running the machine daily will be through it well inside six months and paying repeatedly for a consumable. NuvoH2O publishes no reduction percentage and holds no certification for this product, so the scale removal claim rests on the description alone. It does nothing for the rest of the house, and nothing at all for hardness. At 139.99 dollars it is a low-stakes experiment rather than a treatment system.

- Cheapest entry point to CitraCharge in the catalogue
- Targets one appliance rather than requiring a whole-house commitment
- 5-year limited warranty and 90-day money-back window
- Roughly 500 gallons per cartridge, which a daily user will exhaust quickly
- Recurring consumable cost with no bulk alternative
- No published reduction percentage and no certification
- Treats only the dishwasher supply, nothing else in the house
- Does not remove hardness minerals
Point-of-use CitraCharge cartridge that mounts on the incoming hot water line to a dishwasher. It treats roughly 500 gallons per cartridge and measures 4 by 12.5 inches with 3/8 inch ports. NuvoH2O states the citric acid formula both prevents new scale and removes existing deposits inside the machine.
