Nordic Wave, Inc., of Charleston, South Carolina, owns the Nordic Wave brand and sells its cold plunges in the US, from a 95-gallon inflatable tub to a 160-gallon two-person vertical tub.
- The plunges are sold on the brand's own store, thenordicwave.com, and an authorized online dealer also lists two Viking models.
- No Nordic Wave store or listing was found on Amazon US in November 2026.
The Nordic Wave Viking XL is the largest vertical tub in the line, sold only with the Gen 2 Elite chiller. The maker gives 160 gallons at maximum fill and about 120 gallons as the recommended fill, says it fits two people, and fits users over 7 feet tall.
It rates the tub from 35°F to 104°F, and lists the Elite chiller at 1.0 HP with 3,100 W of cooling, 3,600 W of heating and 5.8 GPM of flow. The spec page gives the Elite 5.8 A on a standard 120 V outlet, while the XL page says 3.9 A, and its 10-foot cord carries a GFCI switch.
The rotomolded HDPE walls hold 2 inches of foam insulation, and the tub is rated for outdoor use down to 14°F ambient. Outside it measures 43 by 33 by 48 inches, and it weighs 75 lb empty and 1,118 lb filled. The chiller filters to 20 micron, adds ozone and connects to the Nordic Flow app over Wi-Fi.
In the box are the tub with dual interior steps, the Elite chiller, all-weather steps, a Stay-Cold lid with latches and two months of filters. The Gen 2 chillers are also sold alone as replacements, the Pro at $2,999.00 and the Elite at $3,999.00.
The store says the heating is designed exclusively for outdoor use, and its safety page warns that water should never be below 37°F.
