Usability

5.6 out of 10

At 3,000 W continuous it sits on the 3,000 to 3,999 W rung for an inverter-charger, so it scores 8 on capacity.

LiTime's manual rates its inverter efficiency at 90 percent and the product page above 90 percent, short of the 91 percent rung, while the manual's normal-mode no-load draw under 30 W is 10 W per kW of its 3,000 W rating (the product page gives under 18 W), which meets the 6 rung on idle alone, so it scores 5 on efficiency.

Better on efficiencyRenogy 3000W HF Inverter Charger$666.99Scores 7.0

Its 9,000 W surge, rated for 500 ms, is 3.0 times its continuous rating, so it scores 10 on operating range.

It switches from utility to battery in about 10 ms by LiTime's product page, has a built-in 60 A MPPT, reads a battery BMS over RS485 (though not LiTime's current 24 V batteries), and its 50 A AC charger equals 100 A at 12 V, but it has no split-phase output, no parallel stacking and no Bluetooth or app, so it scores 6 on features.

No certifier directory lists this unit (Intertek, UL, CSA, LabTest, TÜV, SGS), and LiTime's page and manual name no safety listing, so it scores 2 on verification.

LiTime's product page gives it a 2-year warranty, so it scores 3 on warranty and support.

Three-In-One with A 60A MPPT

The L-HYBINV-24V3KW-T is LiTime's 24 V, 3,000 W pure sine wave solar inverter charger, combining a 60 A MPPT solar controller, a 50 A AC charger and an inverter in one unit for cabins, garages, buses and home backup.

Verdict

It suits a buyer building a 24 V solar system for a cabin, bus or backup circuit who wants solar, grid charging and the inverter in one box, and who will not need a remote panel, phone monitoring or 240 V output.

Strengths

  • Built-in 60 A MPPT with a 30 to 150 V solar input
  • 9,000 W surge for 500 msthree times its rating
  • 50 A AC plus 60 A solar110 A combined
  • Switches to battery in about 10 ms
  • RS485 BMS link with Pylon and Growatt protocols

Drawbacks

  • No remote panelsettings and display are on the unit
  • RS485 does not talk to LiTime's current 24 V batteries
  • Manual's no-load draw under 30 W against the page's 18 W
  • No Bluetoothapp or Wi-Fi
  • No parallel stacking or split-phase output

Reddit owners report problems more than praise with LiTime inverters. An r/OffGrid user's 12 V 3000 W inverter shut off at 1,200 W or more even with a leaf blower cooling it (April 2025), an r/SolarDIY owner's 48V 3500W inverter-charger cut out and restarted every 15 seconds charging from a generator until he lowered the charge limit to 10 A (November 2025), and an r/RVLiving owner's 3000 W inverter-charger stopped charging at 227.7 of 230 Ah, which he traced to a long extension cord (July 2025).

On DIY Solar Forum the owner of the 24 V unit in a bus conversion found it has no remote panel, which LiTime support confirmed in November 2024, and that its RS485 port reads only protocol-matched batteries, not his LiTime 24 V 230 Ah. A second owner in the thread found many loose screws, a stripped screw on the bottom fan and transformer bolts loose enough to turn by hand on arrival, and described it as a low-frequency unit with two toroidal transformers (thread opened January 2025).

Both testers found carry a tie. Texas Prepper Projects, which links the unit through a LiTime referral link and passes on a LiTime discount code, installed and tested it with a WattCycle battery and called it an under-$450 inverter, charger and MPPT in its title (November 2024, about 43,800 views). T-Hand141 Homestead, who says in the video he was asked for his thoughts on it, moved to it from a 12 V 2,000 W system and called it one of the best purchases he has made, easy to set up and all-inclusive (May 2026).

LiTime is the brand of Shenzhen Ampere Time Digital Energy Technology, founded in 2018 and renamed from Ampere Time in December 2022.

It sells direct from litime.com, which ships US orders from warehouses in Los Angeles and Dallas, and through its Amazon store and Walmart's marketplace.

The LiTime L-HYBINV-24V3KW-T is a 24 V pure sine wave solar inverter charger that combines a 3,000 W inverter, a 60 A MPPT solar controller and a 50 A AC battery charger, with up to 110 A of combined solar and AC charge current. The inverter is rated 3,000 W continuous and 9,000 W for 500 ms at 120 V ±10 percent 60 Hz, with inverter efficiency of 90 percent by the manual (above 90 percent on the product page) and bypass efficiency above 95 percent; no-load draw is under 30 W in normal mode and under 18 W in ECO mode by the manual, against under 18 W and under 6 W on the product page. The solar input runs 30 V to 150 V (30 V to 105 V recommended) up to 1,600 W and 40 A, with the MPPT rated 95 percent efficient, and the battery side runs 19.0 V to 31.2 V for lithium, lead-acid or user-defined profiles, LiFePO4 by default. LiTime's page says it switches from utility to battery in about 10 ms; the AC input has a 40 A breaker and accepts 90-135 V in UPS mode or 75-135 V in normal mode, and generator and utility AC must not be connected at the same time. Three output priorities (utility, solar or battery first) and three charging modes are set from the front LCD and buttons; there is no remote panel. An RS485 port reads a protocol-matched battery BMS (Pylon, Growatt and Voltronic protocols among those listed), though LiTime's page says its current 24 V batteries do not communicate with it, and a dry contact port signals external devices. It measures 18.31 x 12.20 x 5.31 in, weighs 41.73 lb and operates from 32 °F to 104 °F; LiTime's manual calls for 2 AWG battery cable on a 200 A breaker and 8 AWG AC wiring on 63 A. The box holds two MC4 connectors, two battery wire lugs with heat-shrink, eight heat-shrink tubes for AC and PV, a 200 A spare fuse and wall and panel mounting screws. LiTime gives it a 2-year warranty.
