Cleared Patches, Adhesive the Weak Point

The Glotech Minis are two silicone LED patches, nine tri-core LEDs each at 590, 630 and 830 nm, that stick on with single-use adhesive Stickies over the under-eye area or smile lines for 9-minute sessions. FDA's database lists them, as LED Esthetics Glotech Minis, under K240089 (Shenzhen Kaiyan, April 2024), whose model MT-12MC is two patches with 18 LEDs at the same wavelengths and 35 mW/cm2 in its red and near-infrared mode, so they score 7 on verification; the filing also describes a blue mode that LED Esthetics' page does not list. LED Esthetics rates them at 35 mW/cm2 and no measurement exists, so light output is not scored. WIRED's tester put them under "avoid", finding the Stickies troubled her sensitive skin and the patches slid unless pressed down. They are $229 on ledesthetics.com and are not sold on Amazon.

Brand-level

Glotech is the LED device line of LED Esthetics, the trading name of JK Supply LLC of Farmington Hills, Michigan, which owns the GLOTECH trademark; the company's site also names JK Supply PR LLC in San Juan, Puerto Rico. FDA lists every Glotech device under Shenzhen Kaiyan Medical Equipment of Shenzhen, China, its maker, and LED Esthetics holds no FDA registration or 510(k) of its own. Glotech sells through ledesthetics.com, an Amazon store carrying only the Mask Pro, spas and clinics, and television deal segments. It holds 4.7 from 98 Trustpilot reviews, 94 percent five-star against 6 percent one-star, with 87 posted in the last 12 months; it claimed the profile in November 2023, Trustpilot records no recent invitations from it, and it has replied to 75 percent of negative reviews. Recent reviews describe masks, battery packs and a Hair Pro panel that stopped working and were replaced by its support team. The BBB rates the company A+, not accredited, with 1 complaint closed in three years. FDA's recall and adverse-event databases hold no entry for any Glotech device, and no federal suit names the company. LED Esthetics pays creators through an affiliate programme and discount codes, and the review widget on ledesthetics.com, one file shared across several products, counts in no pool. Its warranty policy gives every Glotech device a 1-year limited warranty. Its returns page offers a 30-day risk-free trial, 6 months on the Hair Pro and 14 days on purchases made through TV and flash sales, while its refund policy deducts $15 for return shipping and processing and refuses an opened Lip Wand. No US retailer with its own review file sells a Glotech device, so the retailer pool is blank, and the only videos of Glotech devices are LED Esthetics' own or come from creators paid by a competitor, so the YouTube pool is blank too. On this row three pools are populated; Reddit and Amazon read Glotech's masks at brand level, a point lower.
