The WDF001 is the natural pairing for an Express Water RO system: run a line from the tank to the dispenser and you get chilled and near-boiling filtered water without a second under-sink appliance, which is what the direct point-of-use connection exists for. Taking the bottle at the bottom rather than the top removes the one genuinely unpleasant part of owning a cooler. Build is better than the price suggests, with a stainless exterior, spill detection and a child lock on a tap that runs to 194 degrees. What matters most for this catalogue is what it is not: there is no filtration stage of any kind inside it, so it delivers whatever it is fed.
