The blend is genuinely broader than the single carbon block most competitors ship at this price, covering chlorine and chloramine through catalytic carbon, heavy metals through the redox alloys and ion exchange resin, and organics through the coconut shell carbon. The triple at 209 dollars adds sediment pre-filtration and a carbon block and is the configuration worth buying on anything but very clean municipal water.
