Usability
This is the handheld unit with a fixed massage head and a diverter added, sharing the same cartridge and the same 2 GPM rating, for eighteen dollars more. Whether that is worth it comes down to whether anyone in the household wants a fixed head, because the filtration is identical and so is the roughly annual cartridge interval. The drop-down cartridge still holds more media than a puck-style filter, and it is still reversible. What has not changed is the evidence: no NSF/ANSI 177 listing, no published chlorine reduction figure, and no disclosed housing material, on a product that is now the most expensive shower filter Crystal Quest sells. At eighty dollars the competition includes certified units, and the trade is convenience and media volume against a tested number.
