Usability
Fifty dollars over the Premier Advanced buys a 100 GPD membrane and an LED faucet that reports filter status, and of those two the membrane is the one that matters. A larger membrane refills the three gallon tank faster after it is drawn down, which is the practical complaint people have about tank RO systems in households that drink a lot of water or fill pots from the tap. The drain ratio stays at 1.5 to 1, so the extra output does not come at the cost of wasted water, which is the trade some manufacturers make at this capacity. The LED faucet is a convenience rather than a measurement: it counts time or volume rather than testing water quality, and it does not replace a TDS meter. Certification is identical to the rest of the Premier range, which is to say Aquasure's only NSF listing covers two membrane part numbers for material and structural integrity and nothing on this system is certified for contaminant reduction. For a family that empties the tank regularly, the upgrade is worth the money.
