Usability
Fifty dollars is the cheapest entry in the entire Aquasure catalogue, and the design choice that earns it is feeding the existing tap rather than requiring a separate faucet and a hole drilled in the counter. That makes this a genuine thirty-minute installation for someone with no plumbing experience, which an RO system is not. Carbon plus KDF is the right media pairing for chlorine, taste, odour and some heavy metal reduction, and 2.6 GPM is enough that the tap does not feel throttled. What it will not do is remove dissolved solids, fluoride, nitrates or anything requiring a membrane, and the twelve-month, 10,000 gallon rating is optimistic for a cartridge this size on a busy kitchen tap. There is no certification of any kind behind the claims, in common with everything Aquasure sells. As the difference between chlorinated municipal water and pleasant drinking water at the lowest possible price and effort, it does the job.

The Aquasure Fortitude Compact is a single-cartridge under-sink filter using a carbon and KDF media blend, connecting inline to an existing cold water supply with 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch quick-connect fittings. It feeds the existing kitchen tap rather than a separate faucet, at a stated flow of up to 2.6 GPM. Aquasure rates the cartridge at 10,000 gallons or twelve months and the replacement is AF-FC50-K, changed with a twist-and-lock action.
