Products from Joovv
Joovv is the light therapy brand of Joovv, Inc., which has sold home panels since 2016 and whose FDA registration and terms give a Reno, Nevada address. Its range is two modular panels, the tabletop Mini 3.0 and the half-body Solo 3.0, sold alone or joined into the Half-Max, Duo, Max, Quad and Elite kits, and the Go 2.0 battery handheld. Every device uses the same two wavelengths, 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared, with Bluetooth app control, a pulsed Recovery+ mode, an ambient mode and an alarm.
No Joovv device has a 510(k). The “Class II Medical Device” badge on joovv.com describes Joovv’s FDA device listing under product code ILY, which is exempt from premarket review. What Joovv does hold is a finished-product safety listing: Intertek’s directory lists the Solo 3.0, Mini 3.0 and Go 2.0 as ETL classified to the medical electrical equipment safety standard for the US and Canada. Joovv states more than 100 mW/cm2 for every device without a distance or a method; Light Therapy Insiders, which earns commission from competing brands, measured the Solo 3.0 at 59.2 and the Mini 3.0 at 53 mW/cm2 averaged across the panel on a spectrometer.
On joovv.com the Mini 3.0 is $1,099 and the Solo 3.0 $1,699, each with a Boot Floor Stand, the kits run from $2,999 for the Half-Max to $11,099 for the Elite, and the Go 2.0 is $549. The panels carry a 2-year warranty and a 60-day return, and the Go 2.0 a 1-year warranty and a 30-day return with a $50 restocking fee once opened. Return shipping is the buyer’s, Joovv pays warranty shipping only for the first 120 days, and the warranty covers only devices bought from joovv.com by their original owner. Joovv has enforced its modular-panel patents against competitors: PlatinumLED accepted a consent judgment in 2023, and a suit against Mito Red Light was dismissed on a joint stipulation in January 2025.
Joovv sells no device through a US retailer or on Amazon US. Its Trustpilot profile reads 1.4 from 76 reviews, 86 percent one-star, on a profile Joovv has not claimed and does not answer, and the BBB rates Joovv, Inc. B+ without accreditation, with 14 complaints closed in three years. Reviewers praise the panels’ build, handles and app and fault the price per measured watt and the fan noise, and Reddit owners describe refused returns, a handheld battery that failed after a year and owner-paid shipping for repairs.
