Crystal Quest sells this as eight SKUs but it is one filter: the finish and the bundled shower head are the only differences, and the price spread is four dollars. The media is the same Eagle Redox Alloy plus coconut shell carbon blend used across the shower range, rated 2 GPM with a 6 to 12 month cartridge, which is a realistic interval rather than an optimistic one. NSF/ANSI 177 is the only performance standard that exists for shower filtration and Crystal Quest holds no listing against it, so every chlorine and chloramine claim on the page is the manufacturer speaking. At forty-five dollars it undercuts most certified competitors, and the buyer is paying that difference in evidence rather than in hardware. It is a reasonable buy for someone who wants the chlorine smell gone and does not need a number attached to it.
