- An owner of a Mini and a Pro was thrilled with both after two years (October 2024), and another found the Mini shipped sooner than Kala's panels.
- Against that, one buyer's Mini started making strange noises within weeks and the refund was still outstanding after Kala received the return (December 2024), another's would not power on (December 2023), and several Mini orders went weeks without shipping (2022 and 2023).

- Red Light Therapy by Alex Fergus, a market-wide channel that then gave Kala code ALEX, reviewed the original Mini in July 2022, reading about 31 to 32 mW/cm2 at its brightest point at 6 inches with a spectrometer, and found nothing to stop him recommending it, though he faulted its sharp rear edges, wide grip and single-chip LEDs.
- Lynch On Life, who bought the Mini 2.0 himself and carries no Kala code, called it very powerful and still very expensive (August 2025, 3,141 views).
- Jewel's Galaxy of Reviews, whose description carries a Kala affiliate link, rated an original Mini owned for over two years 9 of 10 for battery life and portability (March 2026, 601 views).
