Joovv Go 2.0
- Four owner posts on r/redlighttherapy name the Go 2.0, and none is positive about the device.
- In September 2024 one owner said she was disappointed with its features and usability and that Joovv did not publish her critical review on joovv.com, and in November 2024 another said the Bluetooth would not connect, Joovv refused the return and a card chargeback recovered the money.
- In February 2025 an owner of a $500 Joovv handheld said its battery no longer held a charge after about a year, and in January 2024 a new owner asked how to switch the unit off properly.
Lumebox 2.0
- About a dozen owners describe the Lumebox in r/redlighttherapy and r/LUMEBOX between 2024 and 2026, most on units bought after the 2.0 launched in December 2023, none with a tie shown.
- They like how easily it travels and that the whole household uses it, and several call it fine after six months to a year.
- Three owners describe batteries that faded or died within six months to two years; one was told after a four-week repair that the unit was within spec and then refused cover over a crack in its case, and two others were told the device has a shelf life of two to three years.
- Several bought it only at 40 to 50 percent off and call the $629 list price, and the $59 stand, too high.

- Two written reviews test the Go 2.0.
- Light Therapy Insiders, which earns commission from six of the seven brands in its handheld test and holds no Joovv code, measured 37.1 mW/cm2 at peak at 6 inches on a spectrometer, the highest of the seven (tested 2021, updated March 2024), and praised the design, grip handle and app modes but ranked it fourth of seven on price.
- Wareable (May 2026), which earns affiliate commission and runs paid placements for other light-therapy brands on the same page, found it premium-feeling, easy to control through the app and suited to travel, with price the main drawback.
Lumebox 2.0
- The web coverage of the Lumebox comes from owner-bloggers who earn on the sale.
- Mama Meg, who links it through a Lumebox affiliate code, used a 2.0 almost daily for a year (August 2026) and rated it 10 of 10, preferring it to a mask for portability, though she would not buy it at full price for occasional use.

- Four creator videos name the Go 2.0, all from spring 2021, and all four carry a paid tie.
- Alex Fergus, who uses affiliate codes for competing brands including Mito, measured a 37.1 mW/cm2 peak at 6 inches on a spectrometer in his seven-device handheld showdown (May 2021, 38,700 views), the highest of the group, and timed the battery at about 1 hour 15 minutes, but ranked it fourth on price and faulted the app-only settings, the slow power button and a misleading battery indicator.
- Barefoot Strength (12,500 views) and High Intensity Health (11,700 views) both received units from Joovv and carry Joovv discount codes; they praised the build, travel case, silent fanless running and the Recovery+ and ambient modes, and Barefoot Strength objected to the proprietary charger and the 10-minute cooldown.

- Kyle Bernier, a Lumebox partner whose description carries a Lumebox affiliate link, said his 2.0 worked as it did on the first day after more than a year, got seven or eight 12-minute sessions per charge and wished only for more surface area (May 2025, 439 views).
