What they say
illumiflow272 Pro
A handful of owners describe the illumiflow 272 on Reddit between 2022 and 2025, in r/tressless, r/hairlosstreatments and r/FemaleHairLoss, and none carries a link or code.
On durability, one owner who bought a 272 on Amazon in 2018 called it still going strong in January 2025, and another said in July 2025 that the illumiflow cap bought seven or eight years earlier, used three or four times a week, had just broken.
One owner returned a failed battery pack in December 2023 and had a replacement in about a week and a half, praising the email follow-up but noting there is no phone line, which a would-be buyer in 2022 had also found.
A UK owner said in September 2025 that the cap was too big for her head with no way to tighten it, and that she paid about 150 pounds in import duty.
HairMaxRegrowMD 272
No Reddit owner of the RegrowMD Laser 272 posts about it by name; the one named mention is a February 2025 r/FemaleHairLoss poster (52-comment thread) weighing it against iRestore because the PowerFlex 272 was out of stock, citing the 20 percent deduction on the money-back guarantee.
HairMax caps in general draw a handful of owner comments.
In a March 2026 r/FemaleHairLoss thread (33 comments), one owner used a HairMax cap for about a year, then moved to iRestore for its longer sessions, and now keeps the HairMax for travel, and a September 2026 commenter paid about $1,700 for a 7-minute HairMax cap and called it the simplest routine she has tried.
In February 2026 an r/tressless commenter backed out of buying a HairMax cap on reading complaints about build quality and repair returns, and in July 2026 the Taste of Calm author posted a link to her own commission-earning review of a HairMax cap.

Three pieces describe the 272 in use.
Matt Kornfield, writing on Medium in October 2022 with no affiliate link, bought the 272 himself for about $650, wore it every other day for 30 minutes over six months, and found it simple to use, though it beeps loudly and warms the head.
Wareable's August 2026 guide, which earns commission through its illumiflow, Kiierr and iRestore links and says each cap was worn by a team member over six months, named the 272 Pro its pick for deep stimulation, found the design comfortable, and counted the 30-minute every-other-day sessions and a less premium feel as drawbacks.
Innerbody Research, which links the cap through an Amazon affiliate tag and sells Kiierr under its own code, found the 272 the lowest-priced 272-laser cap but its battery good for three to four sessions, about half of Kiierr's, and noted that the case costs extra and that guarantee refunds carry a 25 percent fee.

One hands-on review covers the RegrowMD Laser 272: Taste of Calm's October 2025 write-up (updated September 2026), whose author paid about €1,300, has used the cap three to four times a week for over a year, and earns Amazon commission on the links in the piece.
She finds it easy to wear hands-free while working, notes slight scalp warmth, a beep every 10 minutes, a sturdy storage case and a high-quality build, and says it sits a little large on her head but stays in place.
Against it she lists the price, the 30-minute session she skips on mornings she goes out (she would pick the 7-minute PowerFlex next time), and a hairmax.com order that brought no confirmation email, no reply to three support requests and a 2 to 3 week wait with no tracking.

One independent video shows the illumiflow 272 in hand.
Ryan's Reviews & Tutorials, which earns Amazon commission through its links to both the illumiflow 272 and the Capillus it compares, set the 272 beside the Capillus he had used for eight years in December 2023 (about 6,500 views).
He found the two shells almost identical in shape, size, material and fit, with the illumiflow adding a status light, a chirp and a 30-minute automatic shut-off, and got about three to four sessions per charge.
Its battery plug differs, so the two caps' batteries are not interchangeable, and on a smaller head the cap sits back or has to be propped up; he had not owned it long enough to judge how long it lasts. illumiflow's own channel and the Premium Web channel run by its site operator are first-party and not counted.

Three small independent channels show the RegrowMD cap in use, none above about 1,100 views.
Garage Gym Greatness ran the cap 30 minutes three times a week and posted at 2 months (November 2025, 1,024 views) and 6 months (March 2026, 1,142 views), with no affiliate links in either description; he rated it five stars for ease of use and found every laser still working at 6 months, but said the battery pack now drops to half soon from a full charge and lasts about three sessions, which he tied to charging it on a fast charger.
Tong Zou's January 2024 unboxing (63 views, no links) shows a roughly $600 purchase, a carrying case and a battery pack charged over micro-USB through a separate wall adapter he calls a weird setup.
Gina Amazon Finds (April 2026, 55 views), a channel that links to buy it on Amazon under a commission, has used a HairMax cap for about 18 months and warns that its charging port accepts only some USB-C cables, though the 15- and 30-minute settings she describes are ones HairMax lists for the PowerFlex rather than the RegrowMD.

illumiflow's one cap listing on Amazon US (ASIN B07369NRJV), sold by illumiflow at $899.99, is the 272 and reads 3.7 from 497 ratings, split 51 percent five-star against 19 percent one-star with 30 percent across the middle three bands, read 2 October 2026.
Review text and Vine labels need sign-in, so the pool is scored from the split alone, and a point below the doubled average because illumiflow's rebate page offers $100 for a post on Amazon and its BBB reply says it always offers rebates or gift cards for reviews.

The Amazon US listing for the cap (ASIN B07G8MMR53, sold by Hairmax Official and shipped by Amazon) is no longer live; before that it held 3.5 from 317 ratings, split 47 percent five-star against 24 percent one-star, at $549 against a typical $599 around July 2025, and at $1,099 and $1,199 at other times.
Amazon's aspect tags count fit 16 times, 13 negative, battery life 10 times, all 10 negative, value for money 16 times, 11 negative, and quality 12 times, 7 negative.
In the written reviews, a November 2020 owner went two months without a working charging cord despite two calls, a June 2025 buyer received a unit that looked used, and a February 2021 owner found the sports cap would not fit over the laser shell and the start-up and 10-minute tone too loud.
On the other side, a February 2020 owner had a failed cap replaced with a new cap, battery pack and case within days, and a 2019 owner found the silicone liner comfortable for 30-minute sessions though tight on a large head.
