Same Lasers As The Lumina, $200 Less, With A Filing

The PowerFlex 272 is HairMax's flexible laser cap: 272 lasers at 655 nm and under 5 mW each, a stated Class 3R, worn under a sports cap for 7 minutes three days a week and run from a controller with a countdown timer. K180885, HairMax's 2018 clearance for its Laser 272, 202 and 80 caps, describes 272 diodes at 650 nm in a cap, and GUDID lists the Laser 272 PowerFlex under it, so it scores 7 on verification; the filing's 30-minute schedule predates today's 7 minutes. HairMax publishes 1,360 mW of total output, and nobody independent has measured it. At $1,799 it is $200 less than the Lumina helmet, which has the same laser count and session but no filing that describes it. Amazon rates it 3.4 from 59, 31 percent one-star, with three reviews of caps that quit within about 14 months, while Costco's own file reads 3.76 from 50 with 15 of 19 recommending it. The warranty is 1 year, and the 6-month guarantee on hairmax.com keeps a 20 percent fee.
