Waterdrop G2 Tankless Reverse Osmosis System, 400 GPD
Waterdrop’s entry-level tankless RO system at 400 GPD.
$300
Usability
The G2 is the same machine as the G2P600 with the output turned down — identical chassis, weight, filters, faucet and running cost, at 400 GPD instead of 600. Since the G2P600 costs only $60 more and the annual filter cost is the same either way, the G2 makes sense mainly for a small household or where the price difference genuinely matters. Certification is NSF/ANSI 372 only, covering lead-free construction rather than what the system removes. For a one or two person household wanting tankless RO cheaply, it does the job; anyone comparing on certified performance should look at the G3 line.
- Cheapest entry into tankless RO at $299.99
- Seven-stage filtration
- 400 GPD is ample for one or two people
- Compact 25.35 lb chassis
- About $105/year in filters
- NSF/ANSI 372 only, which is a materials standard rather than a performance one
- 400 GPD is the lowest under-sink output in the range
- Only $60 cheaper than the 600 GPD G2P600
- Mechanical faucet with no display
- One-year warranty
The G2 is the entry point to Waterdrop's tankless range: 400 GPD through seven stages at a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio, in the same compact chassis as the G2P600 and with the same mechanical faucet.
