  • Overall: a handful of Reddit threads, mostly reporting Vatrer batteries working as described
  • Cabin: an r/solar owner running two 12V 100Ah units for ten months reported balanced cells and no capacity loss he could detect (about March 2026)
  • Caveats: the same owner found the app dated, with disconnects at range, and the documentation in the box sparse (about March 2026)
  • Outdoor use: in an r/SolarDIY thread on the wall battery, a reply said it is an indoor battery despite its IP65 rating, and another pointed to Will Prowse's mostly positive tests (July 2025)
  • Track record: an r/SolarDIY reply called Vatrer generally good batteries but said the record depends on the model (September 2026)

  • Support: on DIY Solar Forum an owner whose 12V 300Ah self-heating battery charged only to 94 percent described hours of emails, then a return label and replacement (July 2025)
  • Amazon: the same owner said Amazon twice declined to post her negative review of that battery (July 2025)
  • Reputation: in a DIY Solar Forum deal thread owners called Vatrer a name brand with published teardowns, one owning two 12V 460Ah units, while another called it an alphabet-soup brand (July 2025)
  • Heated 12V 200Ah: a Michigan owner found one of two bought on Amazon ran its terminals far hotter than the other, and Vatrer shipped a replacement (April 2024)

  • Scope: Kerry Wong reviewed and tore down Vatrer's 2000 W sibling from the same 12 V pure sine line (December 2025, about 2,200 views)
  • Bench test: it drew about 0.4 A with no load, shut down near 2,200 W, about 10 percent over its rating, and started a drill at about 1,900 W without trouble
  • Faults: in overload it kept trying to restart rather than staying off, and output frequency read slightly low at 58.87 Hz with a clean waveform
  • Verdict: he called the inverter pretty solid after all his tests
  • Tie: the video description links the inverter through an Amazon short link

The Vatrer 1000W (store SKU 1kw) is a 1,000 W pure sine wave inverter that turns a 12 V battery bank into 110 to 120 V AC within 5 percent, with harmonic distortion at or below 3 percent.

It runs on 9.5 to 16.5 V DC, alarms at 10 V, shuts down below 9.5 V or above 16.5 V, and works with LiFePO4, AGM, gel, flooded and sealed lead-acid batteries; Vatrer recommends at least a 12 V 100 Ah battery for full load. Vatrer's spec table and manual rate efficiency at 85 to 95 percent and no-load current at 1 A.

It has a USB output of 5 V at up to 3.4 A and an LCD showing input and output voltage, frequency and fault codes. Two cooling fans start only when the case reaches about 104°F or the load passes 40 percent of rating, and it shuts down at about 149°F.

It protects against under- and overvoltage, overload, short circuit, overheating and reverse polarity, works from 32 to 104°F, and takes an optional wired remote. Vatrer publishes no surge rating, weight or dimensions for it.
