Heater, app, long Warranty, mostly prorated

  • What it is: a 12.8 V, 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery with a 100 W heater, Bluetooth app and a published UL 1973 certificate
  • The trade-off: the longest warranty in the ALPHA 1 series, but prorated after year three and a cycle figure at shallow depth
  • In the box: the battery, six M8 stainless screws in three lengths and the manual
  • Look elsewhere for: closed-loop inverter communication, series wiring or full replacement past year three

Strengths

  • Built-in heater for cold charging
  • Bluetooth app monitoring with remote on and off
  • Long warranty with full replacement early on
  • Weatherproof case
  • Good energy for its weight

Drawbacks

  • Cycle rating quoted at a shallow depth with no end point
  • Heater runs only while a charger is connected
  • No CAN or RS485 port for inverter communication
  • Parallel onlyno series connection in the manual
  • Most of the warranty term is prorated
