Usability
This is the RO800G with a mercury-free LED UV module added, so it keeps the fastest flow and best drain ratio in iSpring's consumer range and adds a microbiological stage on top. The flow sensor that runs the lamp only when water moves is a genuinely good touch. Whether the ninety-two dollar premium is worth it depends on your water: on treated municipal supply the UV stage is insurance rather than necessity.

The iSpring RO800G+UVF8 is the 800 GPD RO800G supplied with the UVF8 LED ultraviolet module fitted downstream of the membrane. Filtration, output and efficiency are identical to the standard RO800G: an FPPC composite pre-filter, an 800 GPD MRO800 membrane, 0.6 GPM flow and a 2.5:1 pure-to-drain ratio.
The UVF8 is a mercury-free LED unit in a stainless housing, rated to roughly 7,000 hours. A flow sensor switches it on only while water is moving, which conserves the diode and reduces standby draw. iSpring states it addresses up to 99.9 percent of microbiological contaminants.
The premium over the bare RO800G is about ninety-two dollars. Since reverse osmosis membranes are not certified for microorganism removal, and iSpring's own FAQ cautions against relying on RO for that, the UV stage is best treated as belt-and-braces on municipal water rather than a licence to filter untreated sources.
