- Gotrax is a brand of GOLABS, INC., a privately held company at 2201 Luna Rd, Carrollton, Texas, named on the Gotrax manuals.
- Gotrax says it started with hoverboards in Texas in 2017.
- The company's range runs from kids' kick scooters and hoverboards to dual-motor scooters, e-bikes, dirt bikes and golf carts.
- The scooters and e-bikes are sold on gotrax.com, through a Gotrax brand store on Amazon and, by the company's own account, at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Kohl's and Academy.
- Best Buy sells several Gotrax scooters and e-bikes directly, Walmart carries most of the range through the brand's own GOTRAX store, and Dick's lists a few scooters, while Costco, Sam's Club and Home Depot showed no Gotrax rides and Lowe's only Gotrax golf carts (October 2026).
The Gotrax GX2 is a folding dual-motor scooter with two 800 W hub motors (1,600 W total) and a 48 V battery listed in its manual as 19.2 Ah (921.6 Wh) and on the store as 20 Ah (960 Wh).
It has disc brakes front and rear with an electromagnetic brake, front and rear suspension and 10 x 3-inch pneumatic tires on an aluminum and steel frame. It weighs 76 lb; the manual rates it for 330 lb and the store for 300 lb.
The maker claims 35 mph and up to 40 miles of range (34 miles in the manual), with four gears, cruise control, walk mode, a code lock and ambient lighting. It charges in about 7 hours on a 54.6 V, 3 A charger, and the manual says it is not waterproof.
In the box are the scooter, the console and handlebars, the charger, a 4 mm Allen wrench and a tire gauge pipe.
