Revian is sold on revian.com by Revian, Inc. of Morrisville, North Carolina, a Delaware corporation formerly named PhotonMD, Inc., which describes itself as an operating subsidiary of KNOW Bio, LLC. PhotonMD filed the REVIAN trademark in February 2016, and the Revian Red began shipping in April 2019. FDA’s establishment records list Revian as the specification developer and name Tutamen de Mexico of Tijuana and Opulent Solutions of Penang, Malaysia as the makers of its caps.
Revian sells two LED hair caps and no laser device. The Revian Red carries 119 LEDs at 620 and 660 nm, runs through the Revian app and is named in 510(k) K173729, cleared in 2018. The Revian Lyte carries 102 LEDs at the same two wavelengths, starts from a sensor on the cap without an app, and is named in 510(k) K242441, cleared in 2024 as a model in the Red’s family. Revian publishes a dose of 1.0 J/cm2 for the Red and 1.3 J/cm2 for the Lyte; no independent tester has measured either cap. FDA’s databases hold no Revian recall or adverse-event report. The same FDA records list two private-label caps made under Revian’s clearances, sold as the GetHairMD Hair Growth System and the LOCKrx Red Light Cap.
The Red is $1,995 and the Lyte $1,295 on revian.com; Bosley resells them for $1,595 and $1,050, and Revian sells the Lyte on Amazon US for $995. The Red carries a 3-year warranty and a full refund in the seventh month for a buyer who logged at least 80 percent of daily sessions over 180 days; the Lyte carries 12 months and a 60 percent refund claimed in its 12th or 13th month. Otherwise only an unopened device returned within 10 days is refunded.
Trustpilot holds 2 reviews of revian.com, one 1-star and one 2-star, on an unclaimed profile, and the BBB rates Revian, Inc. A+, not accredited, with no complaints.
