Products from Omnilux
Omnilux sells eight LED devices for home use, all made by the UK manufacturer iSMART Developments: three $395 face masks (Contour Face, Men and Clear), a $395 neck and chest panel, a $345 hand glove and three $95 stick-on minis that attach with single-use hydrocolloid patches.
Output has been measured independently on two of them. A spectrometer reading put the Contour Face at about 27 mW/cm2 and Omnilux Men at about 28, against roughly 30 claimed. Five of the eight trace to an FDA 510(k) through their model numbers. Three are sold as FDA cleared and do not trace: Men, the Neck and Decollete panel and the Skin Corrector. The Contour Glove traces to a clearance even though Omnilux itself describes it only as registered.
Every device runs one fixed 10-minute session with no intensity or mode settings. Fit is the most common complaint about the masks, mainly the two-strap system and pressure at the bridge of the nose. On the minis the patches are the running cost: $44 for 20 refills, more than the device over a full course.
Retailer ratings are stronger than ratings of the company. Nordstrom lists the Contour Face at 4.3 from 1,502 reviews, while the omniluxled.com Trustpilot profile reads 2.2 from 230, with 53 percent one-star and the complaints centred on support replies and devices that stopped charging. Every device carries a two-year warranty and a 30-day return window.
